The National Dairy Development Board is a statutory body set up by an Act of the Parliament of India. It is under the ownership of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying of the Government of India.
In light of this NDDB Dairy Services, a fully owned subsidiary of NDDB, with its deep-rooted commitment to provide affordable high-quality genetics to the dairy farmers, through its Semen Stations.Sabarmathi Ashram Gaushala (Bidaj, Ahmedabad Gujarat); Animal Breeding Center (Salon, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh); Alamadhi Semen Station (Red Hills, Chennai, Tamil Nadu) and Rahuri Semen Station (Rahuri, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra) are the top semen stations in the country. The semen produced from these semen stations are marketed under the brand Superior Animal Genetics (SAG).
